The meeting’s theme Beyond Borders invites you to reflect on the visible and invisible boundaries that shape our landscapes, societies, and our profession. The European Landscape Architecture Student Association (ELASA) team of “Czechoslovakian” students has prepared an engaging program that will guide you through the landscape architecture of these two neighboring countries, exploring how different types of borders are formed, and how they can be understood, challenged, or bridged through design.
Welcome to Slovakia & Czech Republic on the 31 of July – 6th of August 2025 to the summer ELASA meeting!
Getting to and from the meeting:
The meeting will start in Bratislava, capital city of Slovakia. Location will be provided when you have been admitted. The last day will be officially in Lednice, Czech Republic, with ability to join us for a day in Brno. BRATISLAVA – The closest airport is airport Milana Rastislava Štefánika, Bratislava, but the closest airport that operates most airlines is Schwechat, Vienna with great bus connections to Bratislava city centre. There is possibility to travel to the city by train and bus as well. Don’t hesitate to ask us for help with your travels!
LEDNICE/BRNO – The meeting will officially end in Lednice village. From there you can easily catch a train from Břeclav straight to Vienna, Bratislava, Prague, or you can continue with us to Brno, from there the connections are the same.
