The 13th International Landscape Biennial of Barcelona will take place from 17 to 21 November 2025, under the Natural Intelligence?! theme. This edition explores both natural and artificial intelligences shaping contemporary landscapes and will feature a mix of free sessions, a symposium and awards, and a keynote lecture by James Bridle.

Sessions at Fira de Barcelona (17–18 November)
Held within the Piscina Barcelona 2025 trade fair, this part of the Biennial focuses on sustainability and outdoor design. Organised in collaboration with AEP (Spanish Association of Landscape Architects), highlighting water efficiency and innovation with a symposium on the morning of November 18th. Book Launch Fira (18 Nov): Presentations of recent books in landscape and urbanism.
Symposium & Awards at Palau de la Música Catalana (19–21 November)
Theoretical and project-focused programme featuring:
Rosa Barba Prize in professional category, Finalist offices include Turenscape, João Nunes, EMF, SLA, Studio Franco Zagari, PAN Associati, and PWP, among others.
Ribas Piera Prize for academic projects, Finalists represent institutions such as ETH Zürich, Cornell, PUC Chile, and Roma Tre.
Public Opinion Award & IFLA Prize
International Jury: Michel Desvigne, Kate Orff, Laura Zampieri, Luis Callejas, Gary Hilderbrand, Huang Wenjing, Hayriye Esbah Tunçay, and Henri Crothers.
Keynote Lecture – James Bridle (21 November)
The British writer and artist will explore more-than-human intelligence, drawing from their works New Dark Age and Ways of Being. Bridle’s work focuses on AI, ecology, networks, and systems of collective intelligence.
